Jennifer Mathson
Jennifer Mathson is a Western, wildlife and portrait artist born next to Glacier National Park in Kiowa, Montana, neighboring the Blackfeet Nation Indian Reservation. For the first part of her life, she and her parents lived a rustic and adventurous lifestyle there.
From an early age she knew that art was her calling. Growing up in the American West in the mountain state of Montana, she has been surrounded by the richness of Western art, its history, and artists. Inspired by her experiences and roots, Jennifer has developed a distinctive style of her own.
Working primarily in graphite and charcoal, Jennifer creates strikingly realistic fine art drawings that capture the spirit of the American West with masterful detail and emotional depth. As a former artist in residence in Bozeman area schools, Jennifer has shared the love of art with hundreds of children.
Living in the West provides Jennifer with inspiration from the wildlife, landscape and beauty that surround her.
